James Lathrop started out as a model in New Zealand, then a stage actor, before bursting on the screen as the classic lost soldier, The Artilleryman, in H.G. WELLS' THE WAR OF THE WORLDS, the first authentic movie telling of the War of the Worlds story. James used his real-life military experience, drawing upon memories of serving in the Middle East, to bring the Artilleryman to life.
James currently splits his time between acting and practicing medicine as a nurse practitioner (NP). He uses his advanced academic and clinical experience to serve others at a major metropolitan hospital.
