At age 13 he beat out 4000 young hopefuls for the coveted role of James Graham in the movie EMPIRE OF THE SUN. Following his breakthrough performance, Christian appeared in Shakespeare, dramas and comedies demonstrating a versatility, depth and range that have made him one of the best reviewed and most popular actors of today.
Christian came to worldwide attention and A-List movie stardom as the newest Batman in the 2005 movie BATMAN BEGINS, and has signed on to play Batman in future sequels. The Welsh-born actor has an uncanny ear for accents, and portrays Batman with a flawless American accent.
